How it's calculated
Gross pay = sum of all earnings. Total deductions = sum of all deductions. Net pay = gross pay − total deductions. No tax is calculated — every amount is entered by you.
Generate payslips for every employee automatically with DevStaq HR Management.
See the AppWhat this generator does
This creates a formatted payslip showing an employee's earnings, deductions, and net pay — useful for small businesses that need to hand employees a clear pay record without a full payroll system. It does not calculate tax or statutory deductions for you; every earning and deduction amount is typed in directly, and the tool just totals them correctly.
How to use it
Fill in your company details once — they're saved in your browser only, not on our servers, so you don't have to retype them each time. Add the employee's details and pay period, then list each earning (basic pay, allowances, overtime, bonus — whatever applies) and each deduction (tax already calculated elsewhere, provident fund, insurance, loan repayment, and so on) as separate line items. Gross pay, total deductions, and net pay update automatically, along with the net amount spelled out in words.
Why there's no automatic tax calculation
Income tax, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions vary enormously by country, and even within a country by income bracket, filing status, and local rules that change from year to year. Rather than risk calculating something incorrectly and presenting it as official, this tool asks you to enter the tax amount you've already determined (from your accountant, payroll provider, or tax authority's own calculator) as a plain deduction line. That's also why every payslip generated here is explicitly marked "for record-keeping, not an official tax document."
Worked example
Basic pay of $50,000 plus a $10,000 allowance gives $60,000 gross. Subtract $3,000 in income tax and $2,500 in provident fund contributions — $5,500 total deductions — and net pay comes to $54,500.
Frequently asked questions
Does this calculate my income tax?
No — tax rules vary too much by country and circumstance to calculate reliably. Enter your tax amount (from your accountant or payroll provider) as a deduction line, and the tool totals everything correctly around it.
Is this an official tax document?
No — it's for record-keeping only, clearly labeled as such on every payslip generated. For an official document, use your payroll provider or accountant.
Where is my company information stored?
Only in your own browser's local storage, never on our servers — you can clear it at any time with the "Clear saved details" link.
